Si Ling Secondary School (Juanzhen- Fac)
April 20th, 2009 by admin

My other unforgettable moment is my experience with the Si Ling Secondary School students.

It was an orienteering program that day and there was this girl who was having slight leg cramp after the program. While attending to her, we were chatting and she was asking me about our company and my job as a facilitator. She told me that she inspires to be a facilitator too next time. Though she was in pain, she had a smile on her face. That was the first time I had heard something like this from a student.

I can see the passion in her eyes and I am truly proud of her that she knows what she wants. Having a goal in life is what keeps us moving. What we need is to believe in ourselves. Never be afraid to ask someone for advice. I shared with her about facilitation. Yet, I believe I had learnt as much from her.

Heyy. yeah i totally agree. Honestly speaking, the kids from Siling are really an inspiration. They serve to prove me wrong time and time again. Just going to show how sheltered we actually are and how people can be so strong, and so inspiring even when situations like theirs. If we could interview every individual there or any of the kids we take from any school, I’m very sure each and everyone of them has an awe inspiring story behind them. No matter how small or short their stories are, there are definitely many many lessons for us, the “more experienced”, to learn. Every individual is unique, and face or will face many situations and problems unique to their lives. It’s just if we are willing to listen.

Cheers!
